It is the customer’s responsibility that the manual, any keys, emergency lowering / emergency opening tools are in place by the lift, both for their own part and for technical staff during a troubleshooting / evacuation (it was handed over to the customer / user by the technichian when assembling the lift).
Look up the section with troubleshooting / evacuation in the manual and follow the instructions. Each handbook must have a section that describes how to evacuate people from the lift and how to (if possible) fold it so that it does not stand in the way.
A-Lift (vertical lift with shaft)
- Check emergency stop is turned on.
- Check main power switch is turned on.
- Check key switch is turned on.
- Check sensitive edge. If the lift meets an obstruction, it will stop immediately.
- Are the doors Closed, if not Close the door.
- If the lift only moves 100 mm from the floor it can bee a door lock contact that’s not is looked. Try to close the door so the door contact will bee closed.
- Read faultfinding instructions for user in the user manual that you received when the lift was installed.
- If you have tried all of the above and the lift still do not work properly – please contact Globus
B-Lift (vertical lift with out shaft)
- Check emergency stop is turned on.
- Check main power switch is turned on.
- Check key switch is turned on.
- Are the doors Closed, if not Close the door.
- If the lift only moves 100 mm from the floor it can bee a door lock contact that’s not is looked. Try to close the door so the door contact will bee closed, or the dorrlook can bee frozen try to take away the ice and put some grease on the door look.
- If the lift only moves up but not down check the sensitive edge under the platform. It can bee ice on them or it can bee fasten in, the in position.
- If the lift not moves all the way down. Check if it´s stone, snow or ice under the platform.
- Read faultfinding instructions for user in the user manual that you received when the lift was installed.
- Switch the stair lift “off” for 30 seconds and then “on” again. Try to operate the stair lift again and see if the lift works.
- If you have tried all of the above and the lift still do not work properly – please contact Globus
Chair Lift (Always park the lift at the charging station when you don’t use the lift)
- Is the lift parked on the charging station? If not, put the lift on the charging station to charge the batteries for at least 24 hours.
- Check emergency stop is turned on.
- Check main power switch is turned on.
- Check key switch is turned on.
- Check the seat swivel is turned in the look position for travel.
- Check sensitive edge. If the lift meets an obstruction, it will stop immediately.
- Check the rail hinge is fully closed position for travel.
- Check if the battery power is running low in the remote controls. Replace the batteries.
- If the lift moves very slowly try to move the lift to the charging station to charge the batteries for at least 24 hours.
- Read faultfinding instructions for user in the user manual that you received when the lift was installed.
- Switch the stair lift “off” for 30 seconds and then “on” again. Try to operate the stair lift again and see if the lift works.
- If you have tried all of the above and the lift still do not work properly – please contact Globus
Wheel chair Lift (Always park the lift at the charging station when you don’t use the lift)
- Check emergency stop is turned on.
- Check main power switch is turned on.
- Check key switch is turned on.
- Check sensitive edge. If the lift meets an obstruction, it will stop immediately.
- Check that the arms are in the down position (test to make put soft pressure on the arms).
- Check that the flaps are in the up position.
- Check if the battery power is running low in the remote controls. Replace the batteries.
- If the lift moves very slowly try to move the lift to the charging station to charge the batteries for at least 24 hour.
- Read faultfinding instructions for user in the user manual that you received when the lift was installed.
- Switch the stair lift “off” for 30 seconds and then “on” again. Try to operate the stair lift again and see if the lift works.
